This was the first morning of my Marrakech holiday, and I couldn’t have had a more better start. Sun was up and temperature high. It does feel amazing to wake up every day to a sunny day, instead of clouds and rain as it happens in London all the time. It makes a huge difference to my mood and life seems just better with sunshine!

The hotel Dar Zemora, is one of my favourite places, with beautiful, peaceful gardens, Moroccan style décor, and roses everywhere, of course! Also, even the tiny birds that steal your bread at breakfast seem sweet.

Paris, mon chéri!

P1040170ccc

May weekend in Paris is one of the greatest pleasures of life! Throw in a bit of shopping, and it’s the ultimate happiness.

My 4th time in Paris was amazing as ever, and I never have enough. I stayed at a hotel on a street off Champs Elysees, which resembled old Parisian house, complete with a freaky old school lift.

The plan was simple and clean: breakfast, shopping and Montmartre. However, as it happens, nothing is ever as simple as you plan, especially when you leave your wallet behind in a taxi…

These are my cutest heels, they come from a different trip to Paris last year, and are made by Dior.

And my new baby

Macaroons in Montmartre. Then favourite hidden café, then legendary Le Petit Train with funniest music, and a bunch of 6 year olds, and a metro ride back to Champs Elysees. I must admit- Paris metro is gross, and never taking it again.

Looking slightly worse for wear the next morning. Has got something to do with all the alcoholic beverages, the dodgy fish and THE BABY (don’t ask)

Back at Paris Nord, and 9am to catch a train back to London.

Au Revoir, till next time, Fleur

Beauty Shopping

Why can’t I just walk past SPACE.NK or MAC without being lured inside? This is my big addiction, and I can spend hours browsing the shelves. Yesterday was no different, and what was supposed to be a relaxing walk in Notting Hill, and a coffee break, turned into a shopping feast and credit card pounding.

NARS The Multiple makeup stick, for eyes, cheeks and lips in Undress Me.

The photo doesn’t really show the glitter, but the stick is quite glittery which I like.

NARS pure matte lipstick in Tashkent 3505.

I have been into matte lipsticks recently, and this one is spot on. Not only it is matte, but also nude, which gives a real 60’s look! I love the ‘skinny’ packaging too; this will easily fit into the smallest clutch bag.

LAURA MERCIER Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Pink Blush.

Apart from matte lipstick, I also love ‘blush’ shades, which I think are very feminine and make the whole face look younger and sweet. This lipstick is on the creamier side and has good moisturising properties.

MAC matte lipstick in Please Me.

Normally this would be too dark for my liking, but somehow it’s just right. Matte, blush and pink.

Guerlain Invisible Skin-Fusion Foundation in 03 & YSL False lash effect mascara in Noir.

The Guerlain foundation I have had for a few weeks now, and I can honestly say that it’s by far the best liquid foundation I’ve used. It melts into my skin like butter, and gives very natural look maintaining good coverage. It’s not cakey, it’s like my better skin. I have had many compliments on my complexion since started using it too!

This mascara is a bit of a mystery to me, as I tend to wait a few weeks for the mascara to dry a little bit. This one is still a bit watery, so I’ll wait a couple more weeks, and report then!

This is Your Marrakech Message

P1040132cc

I have just got back home from a sunny holiday in Marrakech. Brilliant time and glorious sunshine. Breakfast on a roof terrace, relaxing by the pool, exploring the city and crazy markets, coffee breaks, fresh mint tea, sunset bars, rose martinis and massages, delicious food, belly dancing classes, Atlas Mountains and even celeb spotting- and all that in just 6 days!

Being back in London is depressing… Lucky that I have my tan and hundreds of photos- happy memories!

Saturday walk in Notting Hill, wearing my latest buy from Zara. It has a real 60’s feel to it. Shame that the day wasn’t very warm and sunny, however I managed to take a few good snaps (well…I think so?)

Talking of warm and sunny weather – I am going to a very very sunny place for an Easter break, so expect an extended report! I have already purchased 4 new bikinis, and a couple of summer pieces. I am counting days and hours!

From Rome with Love

FleurRome3

First trip to Rome (but not Italy) was a success! I did exactly as Romans & Romanians do, and I did just fine. I stayed at an amazing hotel Portrait Roma, right by Piazza di Spagna. Breakfast on a roof terrace overlooking the whole of Rome anyone?!  Can’t imagine a better way to start the day.

The weather was temperamental, but in March, anywhere in Europe this shouldn’t be a surprise. I had a great time, in a great company, and will be coming back for MORE !
